Our Story...
M.A.S.O.N Tea & Co. is an African American owned and operated business established in 2020. M.A.S.O.N stands for "My Ancestors Shaped Our Nation" and we take pride in our heritage and pay homage to our ancestors who met their unfortunate capture in Alkebulan (Africa) during the slave trade whom mercilessly endured the passage across the Atlantic into the shores of North Carolina and sold unto the lands of its plantations. My Ancestors Shaped Our Nation, helping to lay the foundations of what we today call America. Through centuries and decades, and many generations onward, my grandparents were born. Melvin (My Granddad) and Dora (My Grandma) whom had 8 children in which my mother was birthed (Alice). My mother eventually met and married my father (Ben). My maternal Grandmother taught her children the art of brewing southern black sweet tea and that tradition was passed down to me by my mother. M.A.S.O.N Tea & Co. continues that great tradition with an added twist of modern innovation and pizzazz. As you can see, we love our history, we love our tea and today we share that age ole tradition with you…
